General Wedding Information.

I love weddings! After the months of making arrangements and planning every detail you finally reach THE BIG DAY. The bride and her bridesmaids are busy getting ready, hair stylists and make-up artists are on hand, mum is rushing around making sure everything is running smoothly and all the time dad is happily relaxed reading the paper!

Finally you are ready to leave. The bridesmaids have left and you are on your way. Those few moments of peace in the car as the anticipation builds - has everyone arrived? Are all the flowers where they are meant to be? Is the groom there?

The music begins, you walk down the aisle giving your groom his first glimpse of his new bride. The look on his face as you reach him makes all the trials and sometimes tears, of the past few months worth while. You look amazing and he is so proud to have you on his arm as you say your vows.

Your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life. After the rings are exchanged, the confetti thrown and the dress packed away, the photographs are the only lasting keepsakes of your special day. With all the planning and preparation that goes into your wedding you need to be sure that the photographs capture all the emotion and atmosphere you have created. I consider it an honour to be selected to photograph the biggest day of a couples life.

Todays couples seem to prefer a more contemporary style of photography that is fun and relaxed whilst also including the usual traditional group shots of family and friends. My aim at every wedding is to make sure that the photography side of the day is as unobtrusive as possible, whilst still capturing the happenings of your day.

Coverage can begin with the bridal preparations at the brides home, or hotel, then continue on until you are to sit down for your meal at the reception, speeches and your first dance can also be included giving you a complete storybook wedding.

It is advisable that you allow plenty of time between your ceremony and your meal if you wish to have a more relaxed approach to your photos - a good 2-3 hours is best so that nothing is being rushed or missed. Please take into account any traveling time there may be between your ceremony and reception venues, also the time taken for any line up you may be having before your meal begins, as all this will eat into your photography time.

Your images will be ready approximately two weeks following the wedding. Should family and friends wish to order prints then prices start from £5.00 each. Images can be placed onto a website for viewing should you wish, please ask about this if interested.

All wedding packages also include a complimentary pre-wedding photo shoot, or engagement portrait. This session is done on location, usually a few weeks before the wedding itself takes place. The location of the sitting is chosen by yourselves and can include parks, beaches, fields, gardens or your own home.

This shoot allows us to get to know each other a bit better so that hopefully you will be more comfortable and relaxed for the photos on the wedding day itself. It is also a good time to go through the final wedding details with you both, giving you the opportunity to specify any individual groups and shots that may be important to you. You will receive a 10"x8" print from the shoot along with a DVD slideshow and contact sheets. Some couples like to have their print mounted and brought along to the reception for guests to sign.
